Let me just say right from the beginning. I LOVED this book. Let me tell you a bit about it.

A secret that will unleash the furies of Hell and cause the Angels in Heaven to weep as ethereal brothers, Matthew and Nathan battle over Julia's very soul.
What I liked: I found the construction side of this story to be very accurate. My husband is a plumbing contractor and this aspect was totally believable. I liked how Julia fell for the bad boy. Isn't there a bit of that in all of us? I liked how the story built and built and how Julia developed as a real person with real weakness and faults, but done in such a way that I was always rooting for her, wanting her to win. It ended in a way that suggests to me there will be a sequel. I hope so. I really couldn't lay the book down. It was a fascinating story that held me spellbound the entire time.
What I didn't like: There were editing problems that I found very distracting. And there were enough of them that I was bothered throughout the story, but not bad enough to make me lay the book down in frustration. Like I said, I loved it, despite poor editing in parts. Also, I don't like the cover. I don't feel it gives us an accurate taste for what the book is really about, and I find it a bit boring. I'd rather see something more like the movie poster of Constantine (with Keanu Reeves). Now something like THAT would fit this book perfectly.
All in all, I'd give it four out of five stars. Go read it. You'll love it!

Thanks for the review! It sounds like an awesome read. As far as your previous post, I feel your pain. I run too, but there are other things I'd like to do and simply cannot. Like dance. I'd love to be able to bust a move, but alas, it's something else that gets busted, like my ankle.
I've seen several books lately with poor editing. It really puts me off and I spend more time picking fault with the editing than losing myself in the story. Having said that, this sounds like a good read. I may just check it out.

I agree about the cover. That is a bummer about the editing, but the story still sounds wonderful. I would enjoy reading something like this. I'm going to put it on my TBR list. :0)
"Fall" sounds like a terrific book. My daughter bought an ebook that had no punctuation in it at all, not a period, not a quotation mark, nothing! It was one of a series so she plowed through it.

Sounds like a good book but editing is so important. Who is the publisher? Did she self-publish? (Not to give indie a bad name, but it makes you wonder.)
