Praise for the real heroes!

Sorry I've been out of commission for a bit. My niece and her four kids came to stay with me this week. Her husband is stationed in Afghanistan and her eight yr old has Autism. She has a super hard row to hoe all by herself. I don't know how she does it when her three yr old and one yr old baby take so much energy. She's my new hero.

So say a little prayer on her behalf because they still have eight years to go before her husband retires and gets out of the military. Hoo Rah!

Bless your niece's heart. I will be thinking you your family and lighting a candle. Military life is not easy. The sacrifices the families make are every bit as heroic as the soldiers themselves. Bless them all.

An amazing woman with a heart of gold! Let's hope the idiots in Washington don't water down the benefits for them!

Thanks for sharing that, Melissa. When my silly little problems begin to act all monumental, I will think of your niece, her precious little ones and their father who makes it so I can have my freedoms to have my words published and read by anyone who wishes to.

Most people don't realize the struggles of military families. It's a tough life sometimes.

God bless your neice's family. Admire the husband for his service; admire the wife for caring for the autistic child. I'll bet she does it stoically.

Wow! I don't know how she does it all by herself either. Three cheers for your niece!

I noticed you are currently reading Uglies. I just picked that book up from the library! It looks really good :)
