L is for Lacrosse!

Yes, I know that lacrosse has nothing to do with writing, but it's THE sport at our

house. My son has played for two years and loves it. He's only fifteen, but is on the varsity and JV team. He rocks! He's the one in black and white to the right.

Lacrosse is the fasted growing sport in the US and I had no idea what it was until Jake wanted to play. It's dang fun to watch and I hope my other kids want to play.

This is a short clip of Paul Rabil, one of the absolute best. (Jake's idol)

My hub's a big lacrosse fan. It started out I'd watch a bit of the game on tv with him. But, you're right, the game's fun.

Your son's awesome!

Oh my word, I had to play it three times to get what was happening with those nets. I can't believe how agile they are. Fantastic sport from the looks of things.Well done on your boy.

Hi Melissa
Please to have found you via the A-Z - love your Lacrosse post and video and - looking back through them now - I'm sorry I missed your earlier posts on the days they came out. I identify with your J post - I lost my own mum to cancer nearly 5 years ago and she did / still does mean the world to me. Well done on posting your lovely tribute.
All best and I'm following now.

Hi, Melissa. Thanks for signing onto my blog as a follower. As soon as I write this comment, I'll happily return the favor.

I'm originally from Maryland, and lacrosse has always been a big deal there, both at high school and college levels. I didn't realize its popularity had spread to other parts of the country. It's an exciting sport.

I could barely keep up with that little red ball in the video. The guys move pretty fast.

Glad that Lacrosse is the sport in your house! I have been playing for 30 years and coaching for 10! Just also put the finishing touches on the first edition on the 50 Commandments of Lacrosse Book I have been thinking about the past couple years!
