Like no place on earth!

There's an old saying that says money can't buy happiness. I beg to differ. Now, I do believe that money can't buy love, peace and contentment, but happiness, you bet your pie hole!

Let me explain. As most of you know, I have just returned from Disneyland! It's the first time I've been since I was four. None of my kids had ever gone. The trip--which would take too long to describe in detail--was the funnest thing I've done in years! I never got on my computer and never contested back to the world, or check my emails or posted on facebook. I lived in la la land for a whole week and am debating becoming a permanent resident. Oh, wait. I may already be!

At the last minute, and I mean last minute, my sister who was going to watch Wyatt called to say she was coming to Disneyland with me and my sister Sarah, too! OH MY WORD! But let me just say up front that I am so glad she came and I am SO glad I took my little Wyatt. Yeah, he made it a little harder but he loved it so much, had so much fun!

Heidi, my seven year old, was the most amazed by it all. When people say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, they're right. I wish I didn't have to leave. I actually felt sad, depressed, to have to come home. There is an ambiance there, a really good feeling and every dime I spent was worth it, and I spent A LOT of dimes! LOL

I'll post the pics on facebook for those of you who are friends. For those of you who aren't, well, dang it, get off your behinds and find me!

I'm so glad you had such a great trip! I've never been to Disneyworld itself but I did go to Universal Studios and I loved it.

I love Disneyland!!

I only went once years ago and always remember it with fondness and happiness!

It was such a magical place - I loved every minute/show/parade/ride I went on and to this day still grin at the memory of it!

Glad you and your family had a brilliant time too!

take care

When Bryan and I went for our 10th anniversary 4 yrs ago, we both kept saying how different it feels just to walk through the gates and enter the park. There's a different feeling about the place--it's very much worth going! I'm so glad you had a great time--and it is so magical to experience the park through your kids' eyes :)

I LOVE Disneyland! Our family went two years ago and had a fabulous time. I am happy to hear that you were able to share the Disneyland magic with your whole family. Great memories!

Hooray! That's because you're back, but also because you had such a good time! I have never been and neither has my mom. I'm thinking of a surprise trip in the not so distant future. ;)

When my daughter-in-law's parents heard that my son (their son-in-law ... sorry ... so confusing) had never been to Disneyland they called us Communists. :) In all fairness to us as parents, he HAD been to DisneyWORLD in FLORIDA which was a WAY more fanciful trip than to LA.

I am one who has a true "eh" emotion over Disneyland. I know - I'm a buzz killer. But I hate lines, and it's just never been worth it to us to drag our kids out there to stand in some horrific line for what Disneyland has to offer. Our boys love the thrill rides, and though Disney Adventure (or whatever it's called) has them, they're not as gut wrenching as some of the other parks.

All my boys have been to Disneyland or Disneyworld at least once, and that's enough for us. So I think it's really unfair to call us Communists. (They were joking, and so am I :)

You left a question on my blog, but your email address isn't linked to your blog so I couldn't reply.

I'm not sure I understand what you meant about commenting internationally. Anyone can comment internationally on Blogger, and you don't have to do anything for that to happen. They just have to find your blog. :D
