Z is for Zipping right along!

It's over! We're done! The A-Z challenge is finished and I made it! Woo hoo and hallelujah! Not that I haven't loved it. I really have! I've made so many new friends and I always do better under a bit of pressure. Normally I only post about once a week. It wasn't hard to post everyday when I had a theme to work with.

Back to working hard on my manuscripts, attending conferences and all that good stuff.

Please pray for me. I have a pitch session with an agent this next weekend and I want her to sign me so bad I can taste it. I know I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, but I have. I can't help it. I'm getting tired, you know? Writing is hard work (contrary to popular belief) and sometimes I wonder if I want to keep persuing that iluusive word . . . publication.

I spend hours writing, editing and working on my craft. I just want it to pay off with fame and fortune. Not that that is the reason I write, but hey, the perk wouldn't hurt.

We'll see what happens. I'll let you know!

-Melissa,
I'm glad the A to Z challenge is over, too. I didn't participate. There was no way that I would have had the time to keep up with that type of schedule. I always felt like I was intruding whenever I stopped by yours or another's blog during the month. I know that is silly, but...
Now as to your request, I am praying for you because I remember the twenty years of dreaming that finally came to fruition for me: being published. My advice to every writer in your position is to do everything you can that way when you are old and gray you will have no regrets.
I have one novel published and sometime this year should have it's sequel published as well. However, should I never have another one, it will be fine because I tried by best.
Good luck. *fingers crossed*

-Jimmy

Sending lots of prayers and good wishes for you! We all understand how you feel - it isn't ABOUT the money and fame, but those things aren't NOTHING either! We all want to feel that glow of recognition for all the effort and the time and the dreams. It matters. Look forward to seeing what happens and reading more of your postings. It will be good to get back to normal now the challenge is over!

Having a theme has made it easier to blog every day. I had an easier time staying on task for A to Z than I had for the blogging month in October.

Good luck with your pitch session.

Wow, I go away for a couple weeks and have a wild adventure at sea aboard the USNS Comfort and you are back here becoming a writer and blog extra-ordinaire. Good Job! Melissa. Hook me up with the next blog challenge and if I stay in the country I will try to participate too. Lisa
