Get 'er done!

Good morning! I just read the funnest post! You can find it here. It's written by a gal who happened to stop by and comment on my latest post which wasn't anything interesting at all! Thanks, Naomi, for visiting!

So I sent my manuscript back to the editor after going through the second set of edits. I love how it's evolving. I love what it looks like. Kristine emailed back that she is very excited to read my revisions. Woo hoo! I hope so! What she did say that I didn't like was that it would be a couple of months before I get it back again. Arggg! Why can't she ONLY work on my book? Why do I have to share her with everyone else? Life is so unfair!

She also told me she would have another editor take a look at it. Scary. I've heard that sometimes other editors look at a manuscript and have a totally different idea about it and may want different fixes. Sorry, bud. Who ever you are, you better agree with everything I've already written! Just kidding . . . kind of. he he

Anyway, I wish this process went quicker, although I've heard it takes this long for everyone, most of the time.

On the flip side, this two month break does give me time to work on a new story I've started. I'm really excited about it and I'll bet I can finish it if I stay focused. So, before this post gets any longer or any more boring, I'll sign off! Keep writing friends, and get those stories done, completed, revised and sold!

The whole process takes soooo long! And I'm not the most patient person around, so I know how you feel.

Good luck with your new story! Try to focus on that. :)

Well, at least you have time for a new story, though waiting can be like poking yourself in the eyeball with a dull pencil. Yup. That much fun.

How exciting that you got such positive feedback. The waiting IS the hardest part. And it's good that you have another project to work on in the meantime.

Hi

I really like the link to achinghope/blog's post! The key to revision is... eat more chocolate!

:-)

Thank you for that!! :-)

Wonderful news about your revisions - good luck with this process and well done you for already having a new story brewing. Great stuff.

take care

Beware the other editor! LOL. Actually I really liked what the other editor said about mine. Maybe it'll be the same for you!

that editor better not have any crazy ideas ;P

I can't imagine all the waiting. Maybe I don't want to get published.... nah!

(p.s. that was my sister's blog you linked to, so I popped over to say hello. I'm gonna stick around for a while if that's okay with you :)
